At Blackwelder Farms, we are guided by the principal that riding not only develops equestrian skills but, more importantly, cultivates responsibility, relationships and the understanding of working toward and realizing achievements. Our competitive and recreational riders together create a fun and supportive group that is focused on friendship and sportsmanship through their mutual love of horses. We offer private instruction to every student and most lessons are 30 minutes in length. We specialize in Morgan and American Saddlebred horses and focus on the Saddle Seat discipline, but also offer lessons in Hunt Seat and Western styles of riding. Each student is responsible for assisting in the grooming and preparation of their horse and for tending to them after their lesson.
