American Bicycle AssociationAthleticsFrom its early roots, BMX Racing was a family sport. Moms, dads, siblings, aunts, uncles and grandparents all came out to the track to cheer-on their racer. Some volunteered to be a starter, scorer, announcer or corner marshal. Sisters and brothers started racing or became the official family photographer. Other adults coached the kids in their little group.
Fast-forward 47 years, and BMX Racing is still every-bit a family sport as in those early days.
Modern-day BMX Racing welcomes riders from four years old to well-over 60 yrs of age. Fun fact: The eldest BMX racer is Phares Parsons from Georgia, at 82. Three generations of the Parsons family frequently race together at events throughout the South.
“Riding bikes” has created some of the best childhood memories for generations. And though kids don’t ride around the neighborhood like they used to, the local BMX track is the perfect place to continue that two-wheeled tradition of fun, family and fitness.

Art of Horsemanship LLCAthletics, Agriculture, Camps, Equestrian, Art, Design, Photography, Leadership, HealthThe mission of Art of Horsemanship LLC is to offer a solid foundation in horsemanship and fine art fundamentals for all ages. Horses have the ability to make us better people by guiding us to understand how we affect the world around us. Art offers us a way to express how we feel about the world and inspires us to learn about science, history and how to think innovatively.
Oklahoma artist, author and horsewoman, Jennifer Cocoma Hustis has spent over 20 years teaching art and horsemanship to all ages. In 2010, Jennifer combined her two passions, creating a small business located in her hometown of Edmond, Oklahoma called Art of Horsemanship LLC.
From a very early age, Jennifer felt a very close connection to horses. This connection drove her to learn from, and assist many, professional and world renowned horsemen and she has worked with countless horses. Jennifer believes that working with horses, for over 40 years, directly contributed to her successful horsemanship, animal communication and has given her greater self-awareness.
Art of Horsemanship LLC maintains a broad scope of disciplines and age groups. Jennifer’s daughter competed successfully at the National level in Jr. Rodeo (NLBRA) and at the AQHA Youth World Shows, while her clients do everything from pleasure riding to competing in English and Western disciplines. After decades of only training horses, in 2018, Jennifer and her Spanish Mustang stepped back into the show ring in Working Equitation. In 2018, they earned a ranking in the top ten from the U.S.A. Confederation of Working Equitation and in the Western Dressage World Championship Show.
Art of Horsemanship LLC has partnered with many organizations to bring quality educational programming, art, and art exhibitions to the general public including :
Edmond Light Horse 4-H Club
Edmond Round Up Club
Blaze’s Tribute Equine Rescue

Gwen CoxSign LanguageI offer one-on-one AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE for students of all ages and all abilities. Since I offer only online classes, I can teach students from any city in Oklahoma. I provide all curriculum and teaching materials required for classes. I have taught ASL classes for more than 20 years and previously was the Network Director of the largest signing company in America, and then because the Academy Director for PBS "Signing Time" with Rachel Coleman out of Salt Lake City. I am a Master Level Instructor with Signing Time and consider American Sign Language my second language. I have presented at Educational Conferences for the past 20 years in the US and Canada and love seeing the difference that learning to sign with children can make. As I said before, I teach private one-on-one classes online as opposed to large numbers of students on Zoom trying to learn how to sign, giving each student the interaction they need to learn this beautiful and beneficial language. Classes are twice a week for 30 minute sessions each day. Teaching for more than 20 years have proven that students of any age do better with shorter sessions to help them absorb information and not lose attention. There are a limited number of classes available, so please contact to reserve your time slot.Gwen Cox4728 NW 76THOklahoma City73132(405)-720-1433gwencox911@gmail.comClickandsign.comYes

Oklahoma Youth OrchestrasMusic Lessons, Performing ArtsOklahoma Youth Orchestras (OKYO) offers eleven weekly-rehearsing ensembles plus a summer camp and several other programming opportunities to students ages 8 to 18 from throughout central and western Oklahoma. Rehearsals begin in September of each year and
run through May, with at least three performances taking place for each ensemble throughout the season. The five auditioned ensembles are: Oklahoma Youth Orchestra, Oklahoma Youth
Philharmonic, Oklahoma Youth Winds, Chamber Orchestra, and Sinfonia, which rehearse at Oklahoma City University. These ensembles are comprised of intermediate to advanced upper middle school and high school students.
OKYO also features five non-auditioned ensembles which are: Festival Winds and Studio Rockestra (an ensemble focusing on popular and movie music), which meet at Oklahoma City University; and Festival Strings Edmond, Festival Strings Norman, and Festival Strings OKC, each meeting in satellite locations throughout the metro. These are typically upper elementary and lower middle school students with one-to-two years of playing experience.
The organization also offers a Summer Symphony Strings Camp for middle school students as a one-week day camp in June located in the heart of the Arts District in downtown OKC through a partnership with John Rex Charter School. Additional programs include chamber music opportunities, Percussion Ensemble, the Concerto Competition and Student Leadership Council, which now includes a new membership category: Member-At-Large.
In addition to our own concert season performances, Oklahoma Youth Orchestras often collaborate with organizations including the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Canterbury Youth Choruses, the Oklahoma City Symphonic Band, and other local and nationally-acclaimed musicians and groups. With loosening COVID restrictions this season, we hope to return to presenting outreach and community concerts in assisted living centers and similar venues as
part of our service learning and leadership training Play It Forward campaign.

Platinum Research and Consulting Partners LLCOtherNatural aptitude assessment. Dallas, TX was the closest place to get natural aptitude/ability assessment at AIMS or Johnson O'Connor. I became a certified Highland's Ability Battery (HAB) consultant. Now students can get assessed here in OK. I am the only consultant in central Oklahoma and the only consultant in the state with a PhD. The assessment measures 14 abilities, 3 personal style dimensions, and one skill. The HAB also lets the student know their learning style and pairs them with careers that are parallel with their unique aptitude levels. It gives the student a sense of direction, improves self-efficacy, raises self-esteem, and gives them options for their future. This is NOT an interest inventory. An interest inventory looks at what an individual would like to do. Interest inventories do not address whether the individual has the natural aptitudes to actually perform the tasks involved in that career successfully. The HAB addresses this gap. The assessment is 100% research based. Re-validated, on average, every 5 years. The HAB is online and results are reviewed via a two hour debrief with myself, Dr. Shari Beecher, PhD. in person at my Kingfisher, OK office (220 N. Main St., Ste D, Kingfisher, OK 73750) or online via Zoom, whichever is more comfortable for the student and parent(s). Along with the HAB, an additional assessment is included. The self-regulation questionnaire assesses the student's goal making and goal completion ability. The student will have over 65 pages of results to help them decide what career path to take after completing their education at Epic.Shari Beecher17144 E. 860 Rd.Okarche73762(405)-650-0809shari.beecher@platinumelevatescareers.comhttp://www.explorecareerpaths.comNo
