What is ALEKS? ALEKS is the core curriculum we use for Algebra 1. It acts as a textbook and practice problems. Just like the teacher in a traditional setting will often use other resources, we will often use other resources too.
Why ALEKS? ALEKS adapts to each student allowing students to recover skills they may not have fully grasped or to accelerate if needed. There is a great video here that explains the way ALEKS creates paths for students.
How to Log in to ALEKS: Coming Soon. Don’t worry. We will make sure you know how to log in.
Initial Knowledge Check in ALEKS: Click Here for a preview. PLEASE do not do the initial knowledge check outside of class.
What to do after Initial Knowledge Check: Begin working on your ALEKS pie OR the goals that the teachers have set.
Download Google Calendar on to your phone and make sure you log into your @epiccharterschools school account. We have sent meeting invites so if you click on an event and RSVP yes, it will send you notifications to remind you the meeting is starting.
You can meet with any Math+ Instructor of your grade during their office hours. That schedule can be found on FAQ page.
In ALEKS, you can review or print worksheets to keep your skills sharp.
Click on the grade of your choice to see a full overview of course information for that grade.
