EPIC students in 11th and 12th grades can participate in a job shadow/internship program or volunteer to receive specialized training throughout the community in a variety of industries. For example, EPIC has students who worked in churches, law firms, interior design, dental offices, local YMCA locations, and many more.
This class allows students to spend time in a particular career field while earning high school credit. The course work for the internship includes spending a minimum of 60 hours during the semester in an industry position while developing career-specific skills and building the resume of experiences.
Internships are available both internally at EPIC and externally with any organization statewide. Students are responsible for securing their own internship, job shadow, or volunteer position.
