The Epic News Network and Creative Media courses are specialty courses for students interested in journalism, photography, video production and audio production. Courses are available for everyone from the new learner to the old pro. We also have non-elective course options for junior high students. The student journalism program offers a Next Step-qualifying internship for our 11th and 12th grade students. This internship requires 60 hours of participation per semester for half an elective credit. Students may do more, but cannot exceed 120 hours (1 elective credit) per semester.
Introductory courses are open to all high school students. Internship and Work Study courses are only available for 11th and 12th grade students.
Advanced Photography and Video Production courses require students to have first taken the Introductory level courses.*
*Exceptions can be made for new-to-Epic students who have a background in photography or video production.
