We are happy to announce the 2017 Commencement Ceremony for Epic Charter Schools will be held at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma.
This year’s ceremony will be highlighted by former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating.
Keating will deliver the official commencement address to students, faculty, and guests attending the 2017 Commencement for Epic Charter School.
During his terms in office, Governor Keating focused largely on education. He increased spending for common, vo-tech, and higher education facilities throughout the state and introduced charter schools to Oklahoma for the first time. His policies and recommendations on education to the Legislature lead to the largest investment, over $100 million, on higher education. Keating, in 2000, also raised teacher pay by over $3000 annually, the largest raise Oklahoma’s teacher had ever experienced. Governor Keating also signed the legislation that paved the way for schools to offer online learning to Oklahoma families.
This year’s ceremony will be the largest ever hosted by Epic Charter School.
The school is expecting a record-setting audience of more than 6,000 guests for the hundreds of students and faculty in attendance. All candidates for graduation are currently being contacted regarding their status. Invitations to participate in the ceremony have been in circulation since the first week of April. Students must first register to attend before receiving additional cap/gown information.
If you are expecting to attend this year’s ceremony, but have not seen the email titled “Registering for Graduation,” please notify your teacher so that we may determine a better way to deliver your message. We look forward to seeing each of you at the school’s largest celebration ever.
