Reading Sufficiency Act: What You Should Know

This school year marks the first year in which students in the 3rd grade could potentially be retained based on the outcomes of their OCCT Reading scores. It is quite likely you have read or watched a number of news stories about this new law known as the Reading Sufficiency Act or the RSA. 

As a public charter school, we are required to follow this law. However, we encourage you to read more about the RSA as we believe there are some misconceptions about it that could be causing unnecessary worry among our families.

The Oklahoma State Department of Education has compiled a comprehensive list of the most commonly asked questions to address the concerns of parents and students who could potentially be impacted by this new law.
